Nuit des Idées – Night of Ideas: Empowerment

Launched in Paris for the first time in 2016, the Night of Ideas in Hong Kong is part of a worldwide operation that aims at sharing the French culture of debate and human communities.

The Wine Guild is excited to partner up with the French Centre for Research on Contemporary China, The Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau and Asia  Society for this exciting event.

This year’s Night of Ideas explores themes of sustainability, community and social inclusion through engaging workshops, performances and panels discussions, we are thrilled to be part of a this vibrant event.

Topics will include:

• Preserving our Oceans: Explore ocean conservation and sustainable futures through an exhibition of award-winning marine photography by Alan Lo and a VR experience by Dr. Cindy Lam.

• Ageing, social inclusion and intergenerational initiatives: Witness a moving performance by elderly dancers with Parkinson’s from the Jockey Club Dance Well Project, showcasing the transformative power of dance on physical and psychosocial well-being.

• Rights of LGBT+ People:  Reflect on the challenges faced by same-sex couples and the journey towards gender equality with a screening of All Shall Be Well by Ray Yeung.

The Wine Guild will also be showcasing a selection of organic and sustainable wines for your enjoyment.
