The Cotes de Francs terroir is only 10 km east of Saint Emilion and lies on the same rock plateau as Saint Emilion and Pomerol. These argilo-siliceous and argilo-silico-limestone based soils gives more structure to the wine.
This vineyard consists of 6 Ha of 20 years old vines managed by the Thienpont family who has developed well-known wines in Bordeaux including the famous appellations of Pomerol, Margaux and Saint-Emilion.
