Acquired in 1985 by Guy Delon, Château Ségur de Cabanac is now managed by his children, Jean-François and Guylène Delon. Jean-François oversees this 7-hectare vineyard situated in the eastern heart of Saint-Estèphe. The estate occupies a prestigious gravelly rise, offering exceptional natural drainage that forces the vines to root deeply. Benefiting from its prime position overlooking the Gironde estuary, the terroir enjoys a unique microclimate where the river’s tempering effect protects the grapes from extreme temperature shifts. This synergy of gravelly soil and maritime influence allows the Delon family to craft structured, powerful wines that exemplify the classic elegance and longevity of Saint-Estèphe.
