MORE ABOUT THIS WINE

The property, Château La Brande, located in Saillans in Gironde, France, consists of 18 hectares of clay-limestone land, 7 of which are AOP Fronsac, 11 AOP Bordeaux Supérieur.
The entire property has been worked organically since 2012.
Benoît Soulies, after having rowed across the Atlantic in 2012, and his wife, Maud, have taken over this estate, which has been in existence since 1730.
The terroir, on south-facing hills, produces exceptional wines which received their first gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris in 1906.
The Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Semillon and Sauvignon Gris grapes are harvested manually or mechanically depending on the wine.
All the vinifications are done without sulphur!

The 2016 Chateau La Brande shows the rest of the world’s “table wines” that a “simple” wine from Bordeaux can still do a bit more. It’s a beautiful Everyday wine, as a soloist or with meat dishes of all kinds.
