In the historic village of Saint-Bris, Domaine Bersan continues a winemaking legacy dating back to 1453. Managed by the father-and-son duo Jean-Louis and Jean-Christophe, the estate spans 20 hectares of prime Northern Burgundy terroir. They transitioned to certified organic farming in 2012, emphasizing a deep respect for their Kimmeridgian limestone soils. Aging takes place in spectacular 11th-century underground cellars, where Jean-Christophe crafts elegant Saint-Bris, Chablis, and Irancy. By utilizing natural yeasts and minimal intervention, they produce refined, mineral-driven wines that authentically capture the cool-climate complexity and historical depth of their ancient family estate.
