Since 1982, Château Haut-Bages Libéral, a prestigious Pauillac Grand Cru Classé, is defined by the visionary philosophy of owner and winemaker Claire Villars-Lurton. Under her leadership, the estate, founded in the 18th century, has become a pioneer in agroecology and biodynamics, treating the vineyard as a holistic ecosystem. The terroir features deep Garonne gravel over limestone, which Claire meticulously protects through agroforestry and cover cropping to enhance soil vitality.
