Domaine des Croisille, founded by the Croisille family in Cahors in 1979, has transformed from humble beginnings into a pioneer of modern Cahors winemaking. Germain Croisille, who took over in 2007, leads the estate with his brother Simon and friend Nicolas, focusing on organic practices (certified since 2010) and minimal intervention. Rejecting old Bordeaux-inspired, heavily oaked styles, they produce fresh, mineral, lower-alcohol Malbec wines—locally known as Côt or Auxerrois—that are approachable and food-friendly. The domaine spans three distinct terroirs: limestone plateau (bold, structured wines), silica-rich soils (acidic, fruity wines), and clay (juicy, round wines). Signature cuvées include Calcaire, Silice, and Le Croizillon, each reflecting their unique terroirs and the estate’s commitment to clean, expressive Cahors wines.
