Château Cru Godard is a small, family-run estate in Francs Côtes de Bordeaux, where the Godard family has tended vines for four generations. Carine and her husband Franck began bottling under the château name in 2002, marking a new qualitative focus. The domaine now farms around 10–15 ha (mostly red varieties) on clay-limestone slopes, with less than 1 ha dedicated to white grapes, making their blanc particularly rare. Organic certification was achieved in 2007, and biodynamic principles have been applied since 2016. Carine and Franck emphasize low yields and careful vineyard work to craft vibrant, terroir-driven wines from Bordeaux’s smallest appellation.
