Chateau La Fleur Haut Carras is a small Pauillac estate on Bordeaux’s Left Bank, overseen by grower‑winemaker Albert Tiffon. The vineyard lies on classic Médoc gravel soils, exceptionally well drained and heat‑retentive, ideal for ripening Cabernet Sauvignon and producing deeply colored, structured wines. Beneath the gravel sit mixed clay and sand layers that contribute finesse and aromatic complexity. Tiffon is known for crafting an unusually expressive Pauillac, emphasizing red berry purity, precision and fine, integrated oak rather than sheer power. His approach aims to showcase both Pauillac’s hallmark structure and the estate’s lifted, aromatic character, resulting in wines that age gracefully.
