The winemaker
Our Beaujolais Nouveau is organic and crafted naturally
Unlike many mass-produced Beaujolais Nouveau wines, ours is organically farmed and crafted with minimal intervention. We add very low, or even no, sulfites.
This exceptional wine comes from meticulously hand-harvested grapes grown on 40-year-old vines. Through carbonic maceration, it delivers a fresh, vibrantly fruity, unfiltered experience with beautifully low tannins.
A remarkable, yet challenging vintage
The 2025 vintage is marked by a season of contrasts, shaped by early warmth, summer heat, and much-needed late-August rains that offered relief to the vines.
Harvests began in late August, yielding grapes with excellent ripeness and notable aromatic concentration.
While spring hail reduced the crop in certain parcels, working organically allowed the vineyard to respond with resilience, maintaining healthy fruit and vibrant freshness.
As always, smaller yields translate into greater precision and purity, offering wines of both intensity and balance. This vintage once again emphasizes the close bond between winemaker and vineyard, where organic practices ensure quality is prioritized over quantity.
About Domaine Saint-Cyr
Dating back to at least the 1800s, Beaujolais Nouveau was traditionally a celebration of the year’s vintage. This cherished tradition is still passionately embraced by boutique winemakers like us.
Domaine Saint-Cyr, located in the village of Anse in the South of Beaujolais, is a family vineyard spanning 28 hectares. Managed for four generations, our domain has been certified organic since 2008.
While our main production consists of Beaujolais White (7 Ha Chardonnay) and Red (8 Ha Gamay), we also cultivate grapes for four esteemed crus: Chénas, Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent, and Regnié.
Curious to experience the taste of this year’s Beaujolais Nouveau?
While it is typically best enjoyed fresh upon release, we like to set aside a few bottles to observe how it evolves over time (usually quite well).
